Partnership will boost businesses in both Bronx and Bangladesh


December 24, 2022 — The Bronx Chamber of Commerce, the borough’s oldest business association, and the US–Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce & Industry (USBCCI), an organization designed to enhance prosperity for Bangladeshi and American businesses both here and in Bangladesh, announced that they have signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at promoting trade and business cooperation between businesses in Bronx and the South Asian country.

Not only does our borough boost an unprecedented number of businesses owned by immigrants, but companies from around the world have customers in every Bronx neighborhood,” said Lisa Sorin, President and CEO of the Bronx Chamber of Commerce. “We are excited to begin this partnership with the US–Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce & Industry, which we are confident will be beneficial to members of both of our organizations and look forward to participating in the upcoming Event.”



“Bronx is home to a thriving Bangladeshi community, including many small businesses owned by immigrants from Bangladesh. We are excited to work with the Bronx Chamber of Commerce to foster relationships that will benefit businesses in Bronx and in our homeland,” said Liton Ahmed, President of the US–Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
